My Postilion has Frost Bite - Easter Special

The first Taunus ride of the year so I wore Summer gloves and discovered that my jacket thermal lining was 800 miles away in a wardrobe.  Super.

So here we are high in the Taunus mountains, a minor mecca for bikers, and somehere to stop to warm up hands.

Here is the hand warming device - simply insert hands below "J1" symbol.

  1. Doesn't that hand warming device have an elbow attachment that is activated upon inserting the cold hands? I think mine does.

  2. LOL Trobairitz!! Too funny and excellent point.

I was thinking there is a much better hand warmer location that could be more enjoyable for both parties. Just not thinking enough outside of the box.

  3. Still looking a bit nippy out there in the hinterland of the Vaterland. But hey, apart from frostbite at least you stayed dry.

  4. Yes, I agree with Trobairitz... and that hand warming device might also be alarmed.

  5. Wot, no gloves?? Can't you get bikers' jackets with a length of elastic running down the arms and up around the shoulders with the gloves attached to it so that they never get lost?

  6. Lovely photos but I imagine it was not fun as there is definitely still a cold nip in the air!! I always say you can cool down, but not so easy to warm up.

  8. Dear Nikos:

Gerbings has fine electrically heated nubuck gloves that will leave your digits nice and toasty. Off course, you can still pull over and pet the iguana when the mood takes you.

    Fondest regards,
