Kens Hens


Owning hens has many advantages says my colleague and friend Ken - here's Fatimah: A lay a day helps you work rest and play.
Unlike last year, the rain is holding off: A village in Yorkshire hosts a music festival.
The main stage is in the grave yard. Unfortunately the Krypt Kicker Five are otherwise engaged.
Whereas music, beer and tandoori style barbeque is tolerated, the national games are not.

The best taverna in Syvota is run by a Greek/Canadian and Turkish couple with a waiter from Macclesfield...

Meet Speedy


This is an unusual place - normally in Greece a hotel might host, say, three scraggy cats and a regular visitation of the local dog population: Here we have a veritable galapogosistic menagerie of tortoise.

It's hot here and getting more so by the day! Sunset is becoming the most welcome event but that is not to say that a 3 1/2 hour mountain bike ride to Perdika was not entirely a slog: This is great motorbiking territory with sweeping switch back bends running mostly by the opal blue sea...
