I discover that I'm parked in the Thundersprint cavalcade paddock in sequence with number 291! The thunderous yet mellifluous sound of over 200 motorcycle engines still rings in the ears...
Highwaylass and I were "cavalcaders" - three laps of a circuit around the town centre en masse with police escort. I did not enter the competition (timed sprint run) that takes place in a car park (!?) - All slightly eccentrically English but good fun! You must pay a visit next year...
