Barrel without Bottom

Important News from Mrs Merkel

As reported in Greek media today:

"The agreements of lending of Greece and Portugal was defended German chancellor [Angkela] Merkel and she forecasted that two countriesof Eurozone they will also accomplish they overcome the crises of debt that they face.

The agreements of support of economies of Greece and Portugal minimal support have from the German common opinion. Germany is biggest than the creditors of this two countries.

In her interview chancellor Merkel declared that “I am completely convinced that Greece will accomplish him (and) that Portugal him will accomplish”.

It added that “we try to demonstrate solidarity, which is important globally for the Euro”.

Greece needed it imports “painful” reforms, it added, and it rejected the place that Greece is a “barrel without bottom” regarding the debt.

“Naturally this is not correct. Today we provide in Greece guarantees. Greece is very debited. But cannot no one say that this country does not have hope. Existed a lot of countries that it needed they are submitted in much harder reformations by this”, it stressed the German chancellor."

  2. Former Deputy Prime Minister Prescott also said: "The economy Greekish and Portugish, them do not have sufficient in terms of overdrawings allowed to register as worthy of further support, so analogies of barrels with no bottom are somehow near to right when considering the need to return to market forces the control and public spending for the good of the public all things considered although the need to maintain law and order overrides all as long as we can keep the return to unemployment up. Or down. Any more Kleftiko going?"

  3. Prescott: socialist politician famous for mangling the language of Shakespeare and the King James Bible into meaningless, grammar-free gobbledegook.

Affer forgot one essential phrase, found in all of JP's ramblings: "an it's all the greedy bosses' fault".

Just goes to show that German translated into Greek back into English makes more sEnse and is more grammatical than pure direct Prescott in local Hull lingo!

  8. Dear Nikos:

After 6 rum and Cokes, I think the announcement (as posted in your blog) made perfect sense. The Germans have never been known for their sense of humor, and failing to subsidize Greek topless beaches clearly illiustrates their inability to rationalize certain social priorities.

The current economic crisis in Portugal clearly puts Germany in a key position to take over the Portugese anchovy industry. Considering the global popularity of "Caesar Salad," which incorporates pureed anchovies in the dressing, one would think the Germans would be lining up to march into the place.

I fail to understand the hidden causes of this economic turmoil... But I do wish somebody would sort it out pronto. The bad ink this is getting in the financial press is reducing the likelihood of four week vacations, retirement at 47, and free sun tan lotion for good-looking women who lay around in high-profile tourist beaches (exhibiting shaved Whohahs) here in the United States.

I greatly appreciate the pains you take to keep all of us on the cutting edge of these developments. I can hardly wait to see you next week and have made dinner reservations for you on Friday night.

    Fondest regards,

  9. dear Jack

I'm afraid that hysterically the Germans cultivated Tito to a much greater degree than their lower Balkan cousins in Griechenland - hence the continuing propensity for "vobblytitty macht frei" naturist colonies in Croatia.

    I sent you an email!

Many thanks for your comments, N
