New Year Resolution

Happy New Year to you all!

Due to financial stress caused to the mighty Nikos World empire by the thieving Greek government, I resolve this year to go camping:

Bought for €59.99 at Louis Fun company in the post Christmas sales I may have blundered somewhat as I see that there appears to be a ventilation gap between the ground sheet and the tent.  The initial attraction of this tent is that I can stand up in it (height 2,50m) and lay in it (diameter 4m). Looks like I will also get wet in it and then freeze to death.

You must know that I am smiling. Where is your sleeping bag, Pad and stove. I wouldn't worry so much about the air gap, but I would worry that snakes can get inside

I'm hanging on your every word ...literally.

I cannot find a ground pad long enough for me and yet portable on a motorcycle.

I am not the expert, just a novice like yourself but a pad is a necessity

      I have this one:

      but I should have bought a Therm-a-rest:

and YES, photos or it didn't happen

Happy Camping when summer arrives in the UK. I have heard that you get 2 days of summer over there so lots of time to test it out

    3. Bob (and Nikos) Big Bertha is so much more than a therma rest (Bob, didn't you hear anything this summer?) Nikos you will have a blast (snakes will make great stories.) Standing up in the tent will be a big bonus though, maybe enough to trump wildlife adventures (maybe!)

Thanks for your encouragement - doubtless not for the first time in my life I shall provide some sort of amusement to others.

  2. Hmmm, me thinks you'll need to use that in summer only.

And if you decide to camp, we need pictures or it didn't happen.

Happy New Year to you and Mrs. N.
