Kharkiv Revisited

Let me make it quite clear from the outset, I was not visiting the Ukraine to look for a new wife.

..but this man was.
Provided that you do not mind getting completely lost the Kharkiv metro system gives good value transportation for 5 Grottys.
Spacious communistic era stations
2 rail DC system
Miss Comfort, a typical metro train driver depicted on a recruitment poster - possibly.
Depth of field study
The hotel was on the No.3 tram route, but we went in the wrong direction.
Oh no not another one.
Ukrainian loo
A complicated journey home involving three flights begins
Landing at Vienna
Brussels airport facility - I could have done without the hideous Santa plasma display.

  7. Nikos,

I got a good laugh out of these photos. The cat one set me smiling, I like your caption, and the santa in the john was too much. That face... how are you supposed to get any business taken care of when you've got that face to contend with? Best of luck in the future.

  8. That is a most enchanting photograoh of the lovely Mrs Nikos and the fluffy cat - they both look very content. I think I will have to publish a photograph of my friend Jennifer stroking her Giant Schnauzer!

  11. Dear Nikos:

I actually have a good deal of experience with a Russian bride, as I got one through luck and not a catalog. It lasted seven blissful years, and then I tunneled through to freedom.

I do love Russian churches though.

What is it with you and these damn cats? Furthermore, I had no idea you were equally fascinated with urinals.

    Fondest regards,

I like your depth of field study and the Loos, but we need instructions as to how to use the first one
