Allegro energico, ma non troppo

Sun rise over the valley

A wasp  - 1 of 239,875,000,000 that I destroyed over a 10 day period

A disused mill in the valley

Upper Astros Zacharoplasteio - the purpose of any good ride is to make this place the penultimate destination

Galaktaboureco - devine route planning and sticky map.

Cafe frappe - glykos and sketos
Going home - a view of Astros and Astros Paralia

  1. Dear Nikos:

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words...

  2. Love that first photo. And I like your idea of touring - a lot of nice food and drink, linked by a bit of riding on nice roads. That'd suit me.

  3. Iced coffee in village cafes; pastries oozing with custard; roads with few people on them; heated handlebar grips switched to 'off'; glass of wine with dinner and maybe an ouzo.

I don't know what you see in Greece when when it's obviously full of wasps..........

  4. Yes, it's obviously crap, and people only go because they can't afford Wales.

  6. I'm so touched by almost all the comments that you are all cordially invited to join us next year in Greece if you can bear not to go sheep "dipping" in Wales.

  7. I'll need time to think about that. Time, as in milliseconds.

  8. I, too, enjoyed the photos. Been a little ( ok, a lot ) behind in reading blogs. I offer warmest greetings!

  9. This is clearly where wasps go for their holidays, and if it's good enough for them it's good enough for me.

  10. Irondad, thanks for the warm greetings - I'm somewhat behind myself!
Gadjo, I blame the EU - no visas required anymore for Albanian wasps.
